This is a great year for Lakes Region Youth Hockey - we are planning to unveil an exciting end of year celebration unlike anything we have done before!!!!

*All family members and friends are welcome, but must purchase a ticket.
*We will have tickets available after the tournament - no date or time determined yet for when they can purchase them. Most likely at the rink sometime in early April.
*We will be selling tickets at the door during the event.
*Proceeds benefit Lakes Region Youth Hockey Association
In addition to the tickets, we have pre-order forms for event t-shirts. These are totally optional, but if anyone is interested, we need the order forms back by the end of Easter weekend in order to get them in time for the event. Bake Sale Sign Up
The First Annual Ice Out Festival is scheduled for April 12, 2008 from
3:00- 9:00 p.m. In addition to being and end of season celebration we
hope that the festival will be successful as a fundraiser for the
LRYHA. We are currently looking for volunteers for the bake sale, to
both bake a yummy treat and to help man the table as well. I am
attaching a sign up sheet for baked items (duplicates are fine) So if
you could, please relay this info to the parents or your team and
forward any info back to me. I will be in touch soon with a sign up
sheet for volunteer times at the table. Feel free to contact me with

So, what can you do?
*Each team will donate items for a themed basket to be raffled off. We have lots of ideas for themes, but if your players have a theme they would like to take on - feel free. We are asking you to get a donation of one item that relates to your theme from each player. (For those that would just like to donate $ to purchase items with - we'll take it). The items will be delivered to one of the committee members who will put them in baskets, make them look super and raffle them off the night of the event. Due to the time constraints of the end of season, we need the basket items no later than Friday, February 29th.
Theme ideas: Summer Fun, Games, Arts & Crafts; Spa Basket; BBQ Basket; Golf Basket; Chocolate Lover's; Movie Night; Lottery; Breakfast; Italian; Coffee; etc......
*The night of the event we will be holding a bake sale. We need baked goods! Please let your team know that we are looking for donations from the association members to sell that night to raise money. As we get closer to the event, we will send a reminder asking for the items to be brought to the rink for the event.
*We would like to create a virtual picture album to play during the event. We would like each team to have photos in the presentation so we all can enjoy the memories of this last season. If you or any of your parents have digital pictures we want them. If not - start snapping - we still have a few weeks left. I'm not sure when we will need them, but I will send more detail about that soon.
That's it for now. Your support and your team's support is essential for this event to be a success. It's all to benefit the players and help grow our association. Any ideas you may have area welcome - and as the event gets closer - we will need all the volunteers we can get. We appreciate all you do and thank you for being an important part of LRYHA.
